A watch is the most basic yet the most needed accessory one can have. Especially for men where it actually can make or break him. Having a good watch may possibly define him and his character to other people.
I know it may seem a bit odd, but for women many they prefer men who have nice shoes, nice hair and yes, a nice watch to go with how they look. They say it completes a look. Something which I very much agree with. And whether or not it may have meaning or may cost you less, a watch is something that can complete your wardrobe and of course help tell time.
Having those new brands and designs are one of the best ones money could buy now. But if you're one who loves the old fashioned vintage types then one of the most prestige brands and styles in the market is the Waltham pocket watch. Founded in 1850 by Howard, Davis and Dennison, They were the ones who first introduced to the market the affordable Waltham pocket watch.
Since they wanted to have the watches mass produced, they were struggling financially as well. Since the Waltham pocket watch needed to be worked individually in regards to certain parts and movements, this took time and effort that delayed their mass production.
The first watch was sold in 1853 under the name of "Warren", "Warren Boston" and some "Samuel Curtis." After the first sales were made it the brand immediately changed to Boston Watch Company. The next 400 watches were produced between the years 1853 to 1857 marked as "Dennison, Howard & Davis", "C.T.Parker" and "P.S.Bartlett".
Hard time again plagued them forcing them to sell the company in 1857 and was renamed as the Appleton, Tracy & Co. ten thousand watches were made under this company specifically serial number 4001 – 14,000. Then in 1859 this company has merged with Waltham Improvement Co and thus the birth of the Waltham pocket watch.
Although you may think pocket watches aren't even used that often today. And if you know better, this name of Waltham pocket watch has been around so long because they are one of the legendary and most prestige antique watches in the market.
Basically, the Waltham pocket watch is an American legend already. And though it has been on the market for a long time, it boasts of their quality designs and skillful craftsmanship. They have set the standard of being prestige name in the watch and jewelry industry. The difference with their peers is that for some they have tried to gain the same fame and exclusivity the Waltham pocket watch exudes but has failed to come at par.
Whatever design you have in mind, open faced, classic hunter cases or custom designed fit to your lifestyle and taste. The Waltham pocket watch can give you all that and the needed sophistication and class you expects. May it be for daily wear or formal function, there will always be a Waltham pocket watch that will be a fit for everyone.

The BWCC (Brooklyn Watch Case Company) case is gold filled or a brass sandwiched between two gold plates guaranteed to last 25 years before the brass shows. The PS Bartlett was a middle grade watch made around 1908. The dial is moderately unusual and was fitted to hunting movements (movements for cases that had a metal cover over the dial) for use in the open face cases.
